BROOKLYN TWEED

Beginning in summer of 2022, I’ve been asked to join the team at Brooklyn Tweed as Weaving Consultant & Textile Designer BROOKLYN TWEED makes BREED-SPECIFIC AMERICAN YARNS 100% developed, sourced, processed, spun and dyed in the USA to fortify domestic supply chains that preserve the tradition of American textiles.

MOUNTAIN MEADOW WOOL MILL

Founder Karen Hostetler and her son and business partner, Ben were one of my first clients. Together we designed a beautiful herringbone pattern for yardage to sell in their showroom at the mill. As leaders in American merino wool processing, Mountain Meadow Wool is committed to building a company with respect for nature, ethics and sustainability. They continue to explore new and exciting innovations in wool fiber. I’m honored to work with them as a consultant & weaver.

We have curated a custom yarn from small fiber flocks near Sheridan, WY which are blended with Mountain Merino sourced by the mill. This yarn is the backbone of the Tweed Cloth.

WESTERN GRACE APPAREL

For the last two years, Jesse Smith & I have been collaborating on fabrics that I weave exclusively for her apparel line. For example, The Sally Skirt is a Wildrose Textile which she tailored into a beautiful, classic skirt. 

Western Grace introduced a unique jacket design and an asymmetrical wrap featuring a fine herringbone cloth made by Wildrose Textiles & Design which was well received at the Western Design Conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, September, 2017. 

Jesse has a boutique & workshop in downtown Sheridan, Wyoming.

ELEMENTAL AFFECTS

Jeanne deCoster has nurtured a relationship with producers of a rare breed of North American Shetland sheep. I am thankful to have her as my mentor.

This collection is a collaboration where yarn designed and produced by Elemental Affects is hand woven into a classic Hound's Tooth by Wildrose Textiles & Design, then dyed by Elemental Affects into a beautiful palette.
